Jim Sanford, a resident of Mount Vernon and proprietor of Jim Sanford Clambakes, collected material relating to the New York, Boston & Westchester Railway. This railroad was established in 1912 and ceased operations in 1937. Among the material included in this collection are transparencies that Mr. Sanford created for a presentation on the railroad that he delivered on March 28, 1993 at the Mount Vernon Public Library.
